1. Product Compatibility & Technology
Q: What types of cards does this hotel lock support?
A: Our locks support 13.56MHz RFID Card® (13.56MHz RFID) for a seamless check-in experience.
Q: Can this lock be integrated with the Property Management System (PMS)?
A: Yes, absolutely. All our locks are designed with open APIs. They can be seamlessly integrated with mainstream PMS software to enable automatic check-in and key issuance without the need for a front desk receptionist.
Q: Does the lock work during a power outage?
A: Yes. The lock operates on high-capacity AA alkaline batteries (4-8 pcs). It stores a backup power interface (Micro USB/Type-C) on the front panel. In case of complete battery drain, you can use a power bank to temporarily power the lock for emergency entry.
2. Installation & Hardware
Q: What door thickness is suitable for this lock?
A: Our standard lock is designed for doors with a thickness of 40mm+. For custom door sizes, we also provide extended parts. Please confirm the door thickness with us before ordering.
Q: Is the lock body (mortise) European standard or American standard?
A: We offer two main types of mortise locks:
European Standard: Suitable for wooden doors with a mortise pocket size of 244mm or 265mm.
American Standard: Suitable for cylindrical locksets.
We recommend sending a picture of your door edge or the current mortise size so we can help you select the correct version.
3. Security & Management
Q: How do I manage the master key system?
A: We provide a encoder (key card maker) and management software. You can set up a hierarchical key system, including:
Master Card: Opens all doors.
Floor Card: Opens specific floor rooms.
Guest Card: Opens only the assigned room during the stay period.
Maintenance Card: Limited access for cleaning staff.
Q: Is the audit trail feature available?
A: Yes. Our smart locks have a built-in memory chip that records the last 800 to 1,000 access events (including which card opened the door and at what time). This data can be retrieved via the encoder for security auditing.
4. Battery & Maintenance
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: With standard usage (approx. 20-30 openings per day), a set of high-quality alkaline batteries lasts 18 months. The lock features a low-battery warning: it will beep and flash a red light when the voltage is low, giving you about 2-3 weeks to replace the batteries.
